    Accounts software integration

I currently use Quickbooks 2016 desktop version with Ranger purely to create a paper invoice, that I then hand over to my accounts person who imports it into a spreadsheet.
Nice and simple, just how I like it.

Now, we are looking to move from the spreadsheet system and go to using Xero software.
Will the Xero integration with Ranger do the same thing but electronically, and nothing else, (which is what I want), or will Xero integrate and take other things from Ranger, (which is not what I want)?

I say about Xeror and not QuickBooks online, just because I fear that this will integrate further and not just do the invoices. Am I correct in thinking that?

Thank you for posting this. While it's a completely separate implementation and tech-stack, the integration module with QuickBooks Online is very similar to the one with QuickBooks Desktop, with some small changes enforced by how the Online edition works. In any case, you'll feel right-at-home using it as it's very close to the integration module you've been using so far.
You can learn more about it here.

The integration module with Xero is also powerful and allows to export invoices to Xero based charges logged in RangeMSP.
Please note that the integration with Xero is somewhat considered "more manual" when compared to the options available with both editions of QuickBooks.
You can learn more about the RangerMSP - Xero link here and here.

To summarize the above - all three integrations work very similarly and create invoices based on the charges. You may be prompted to create a new customer account if it was not found in the accounting system. No other data is transferred from RangerMSP.

    Hope this helps!
