If one has been using CommitCRM and not adding tax (VAT) to Accounts and Items but then decides to do so at a later date, is it possible to apply tax status to existing Accounts and Items on a batch basis rather than individually ?

Cheers

*** this reply has some updates in the post below ***

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for posting this.

The Accounts Batch Updater (a very useful feature for other updates) doesn't have access to the taxes table, so performing this change will need to be done on a one by one basis.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Reno

Quick Update:

Starting with RangerMSP 5.5, a new utility was added to answer the request above. The utility is activated from the Accounts window under Accounts > Batch Update Tax Settings. This utility allows updating the Tax fields' settings for many Accounts at once.

The new Batch Update Tax Settings utility lets you set the Tax fields settings for a list of Accounts, either by setting completely new tax settings, removing a tax code, or replacing a certain tax code settings with another.
