Frequently we receive the following error message when opening the Knowledge Base.....

Ooopppsss...
The following message has been recorded:
RichEdit line insertion error
If the above message/solution is not clear, and you are still encountering problems,
we recommend you log out from Commit, log in again and retry.

We get this every couple of days here on all of our systems. Closing CommitCRM and reopening will make the error go away for awhile but it eventually returns. Any suggestions on what we can do to get rid of this so we don't have to keep closing and reopening?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for letting us know about this.

I'm not sure what may cause this issue, and this is not something we hear about often. I suspect this may be related to specific data in the knowledge base article (like special ascii-code characters, etc.). We will need some more specific information, and maybe connect remotely to your system to see this. Please contacts us directly and we will move forward from there. Thanks.

Dina

We get the same message doing almost any function (have not seen it with KB by they way). Happens about 2-3 times per month per pc. No pattern that we have seen.

Thanks for the input allenc. From what we know about this specific issue which was reported by ascendnet, this is relevant only for KB articles. It's hard to tell if you are experiencing the same issue, and probably the best way to find out about this is if you send us your log files (use the Help > Technical Support menu), so we will be able to look further into this.

Thanks, Neta

I saw it when attempting to edit a KB article as well recently.

Thanks for reporting this ajgyomber. We are looking into this and will do our best to find a solution for this, as this seems to be related to some specific Windows settings. Thanks for the input.
