Old contracts - what to do?

Hi,

After batch copying last years contracts to a new year, what should I do with last year contracts? Complete/cancel them - Or it is meant that they should automatically close somehow ?

As their End Date has expired they system will not select them for you but rather the new Contacts, even in cases that the old Contract is still Active. However, you should probably change their status to 'Complete'.

Is it possible, to complete all contracts in few clicks ?

Yes! Open the Contracts main window and from the 'Contracts' menu select the 'Batch Complete Contracts' option. Done.

One last question.

Should a Contract be called something speciel, or does it matter at all ?

Is there a problem, in renaming, a contract from:

KONT0022.0002 to KONT0022.2012 - So the year is in the contract. Can the system autoincrement to .2013 when copied to a new period. ?

Well, I guess this is totally up to you and I can definitely see why it makes sense in this case.
Contract codes can be renames from the 'Contracts' menu the 'Change Contract Code' option.
