VPN - Slow

For the first time since we have had CommitCRM over 7 years! i have moved my server to my main office with a fast internet 80mb down / 20 mb up.

Anyhow I VPN in from home connection is crap 3mb down 1mb up.
I can open Commit but its VERY slow!!!!!! all other VPN apps seem ok

Are there any tweaks I could put into the config to speed it up a bit?

Do you use RangerMSP with its SQL backend? To get the best performance over a VPN connection you should, and even then there are several special configurations that you need to perform in order to get the best possible VPN performance (unlike using the default of how SQL works, which is already better than the none SQL edition). In any case, a 1/3 VPN is not ideal and you would get best performance with SQL and opening a remote RDP session.

Using CommitCRM over a raw vpn is slow indeed. Works great over a VPN with RDC.

You need to jump on SQL. Far faster in general.

maybe the web interface needs tweaking for easier use ?

Can i trial the SQL back end? Wiil it be faster and useable over vpn?
