We have raised our hourly rates except for a few clients that are kind of grandfathered. How can we change their rate without using a different labor code?

Answer


You should use the Custom Pricing tab under an Account and set your custom rates. For Hourly rates you set a fixed rate for all employees or a discount from the standard rate. You can also set custom rates for specific employees.



For items based on fixed price you can define a discount or set custom prices for specific items.

Please note that there is an option to copy Custom Pricing from another Account that will save you time in case more than one Account uses similar rates.
