Error attempting to use Document Templates feature

I am trying to use the Document Templates feature for our larger projects where the proposals require more in depth imformation. The issue I am having is that when I attempt to create a new template I recieve an error message: "Invalid class string, ProgID: Word.Application" (see screenshot)



I have tried with both .dot and dotx files. Please advise. Thanks!

Thank you for posting this.

The error "Invalid class string, ProgID: Word.Application" usually means that MS Word (that is required for creating the templates) cannot be loaded.


In case MS Word installed on your machine, please try running Office repair and see whether it solves.

That was the issue, The system I was running Ranger on did not have MS Word installed. :-\ Thank you
