    SOAP Server for CommitCRM

    Hello

For the last few of months we have been working on a SOAP Server for CommitCRM.
We are expecting that the first version of the SOAP Server for CommitCRM will be ready for release before the end of June.
(SOAP is different to REST but they fill the same purpose)
(SOAP can be implemented by with Microsoft .NET and is called WCF)

Why are we working on a SOAP Server for CommitCRM and what will you be able to do with it?
We began work on the SOAP Server for CommitCRM so that we could write a Linux Web app for internal use that could access our CommitCRM database.
With the SOAP Server for CommitCRM you will be able to create applications for Mobile, Web, Linux, Mac and Powershell to work with the data in your CommitCRM databases.
To do this you would need to write a SOAP (or WCF) Client for your application.

The web page is mostly complete and a description can be found here.
    https://dentaur.com.au/it-solutions/...for-commitcrm/

We are at the final stage of putting some finishing touches on the SOAP Server for CommitCRM in regards to the licensing mechanism, documentation and examples.
On the above website is an example SOAP Client written in Perl, and another partial example in C#.
Our intention is to also provide examples in Javascript & Java.

There will be a Trial version that will be free with no expiry. Though the Trial will be limited to only READing from the AccountRecord Table in CommitCRM.
This will allow you to read high level information about your customer accounts, names, addresses etc.

The first Full version that will be released for purchase will allow data to be READ from all CommitCRM tables.
Future versions will include support for INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE. The timing of the release of these future versions will depend on demand.
We are yet to determine the price of the Full versions.
The SOAP Server for CommitCRM relies on the CommitCRM API for accessing the data.

If you have any questions then please respond to this thread, or fill in our question form at

    Re: SOAP Server for CommitCRM

    Hello

Today we have release the Trial version of our SOAP Server for CommitCRM.
    https://dentaur.com.au/it-solutions/...for-commitcrm/
The Trial comes with a small GUI.

The first Full version is finished, which supports reading data from all CommitCRM tables (that the API supports).
However we are still finalising our payment gateway, so not quite ready for any sales yet.
    Hopefully next week.

Please feel free to download the Trial and ask any questions.

    Kind regards

      Re: SOAP Server for CommitCRM

      Hello

Today we have released the Full version of our SOAP Server for CommitCRM.
      https://dentaur.com.au/it-solutions/...for-commitcrm/
This version supports SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT and DELETE functions for data in your CommitCRM databases.

Out of 224 fields, there are 27 exceptions for the SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT operations due to problems we had working with the CommitCRM API. We have sent our results to the CommitCRM Support team and hopefully they will be simple to resolve.
The CommitCRM API doesn't support DELETE at all. Therefore if our SOAP Server is sent a DELETE request, then this request is causes the fields in the record to be set to null, 0 or similar to wipe the data, but does leave a record in the database.

If you are interested in our SOAP Server for CommitCRM then we will be happy to share with you the exceptions prior to purchasing a subscription.
