We knew it didnt get the docs and non CommitCRM items. We have discovered it also doesn't retain some system settings.
We wanted to evaluate the newest release to make sure it was worth the cost. We deployed a new VM and installed the latest version as a trial. CommitCRM will not natively run over RDC without a SQL system of some sort. We had this edit done years ago and asked them for the secret again to we could test this new version in our virtual machine. They told me no 2 or 3 times saying it can only be done if you buy the SQL upgrade. We already have the SQl upgrade but it is running on our production server, not on this VM so we just need them to enable RDP so we can test this new version. They kept telling us no so we figured we would just restore a backup from the production server. RDC still doesn't work. That means it doesn't backup all the settings. I don't know what else is missing, since we still cant run the program on the VM. Make sure you also backup your entire folder structure since the built in backup doesnt get everything. |

RangerMSP backup does back up all your RangerMSP data as stored in the its database.
It does not backup document files, these should be backed up using your standard files backup procedure (like you do for any other document file). To restore RangerMSP entirely you need to use the setup program and then restore the data. Having RangerMSP backup the entire folder tree would have only resulted in huge backups for no real reason. To use RangerMSP over remote sessions SQL is required. You already have a license for it. Please contact us directly should you need any further assistance with this. |
