After a year of using the connector, i notice it creates contacts for accounts, even though a contact (email address) already exists.
Now there are duplicate entries for some contacts. We tried deleting the duplicate, but it gets added back when they use the connector again. It's like CommitCRM doesn't look for an existing contact, just makes a new one (even though their email address is in there) How can i merge contacts so CommitCRM doesnt keep making duplicates? |

Thank you. We see that the record that existed before the Email Connector auto-added the other contact was updated AFTER the email connector added that record - so it is possible, at least in theory, that this email address for the existing contact was set after the email connector added its record, and this is why it added it (e.g. it wasn't there before). We cannot tell for sure though - except for maybe if you have a backup from the morning of March 20, 2017, before the email connector added the contact. This will allow us to compare data and decide whether this is the reason or not. Hope this helps!
