I have created a new HTML template that we would like to test before using. RangerMSP is setup to use the built-in email client (Options-> Other-> RangerMSP built-in email client). However, when we are trying to Send Test Email, we get an MS Windows pop-up that says "You'll need a new app to open this mailto" as though it wants to use the external client?
Please advise. Thanks! |

Thank you for posting this. Please note that the built-in email client currently supports only plain-text Email Templates. In order to use HTML templates you should set MS Outlook your email client and RangerMSP will integrate directly with it. We may support HTML templates with the built-in email client in the future.
As for sending test email from the template - indeed this option currently triggers external email client (e.g., MS Outlook) for both types - HTML and plain-text.*We will review this behavior. In any case, for testing you can generate an email from the Tickets window, or the relevant window depending on the template category. Hope this helps. |
