Why do i get a warning message when i reopen a ticket? if i change a completed tickets status to open and then save, i get the below message:

Warning
"Note: Ticket closing date and time registered with no status change. Do you want to change status to 'Complete'?"

if i reopen a ticket its because i have chosen to, why would you try to nag me into closing it again? it just doesn't make sense to me.

This message alerts you on a possible 'conflict' - the system sees that the Ticket has a Close date/time and thus it does not 'work' with an Open ticket status. So it alerts you and you can select how to proceed.
Having said that we do see the point here in this specific scenario (coming back from Closed) and how it is different than updating the ticket fields manually when the Close date hasn't changed. We will take a note on this, thank you for asking.
