Tired of fakeraid

It seems to work, until it doesn't. No real monitoring email support, no snmp support, just supposedly working and you are just supposed to trust is doing it's job.

We are wanting to begin to move our small business clients away from fakeraid (onboard raid).

Can anyone recommend a entry level raid card that has good, documented, snmp support?

I was looking at 3ware or LSI. They both look good.

We have been putting out our servers with the LSI cards as of late for the same reason and are very happy so far. We do not use any snmp features though.
