Hi. We're trying to figure out an easier way of importing assets to a client account after we do an inventory rather than entering them all manually. I know there's a way to do this with an excel sheet, but I'm not sure of the format. Do you have a template or something that we can use to fill out and then import into assets?

The Asset import feature can sure help you here. Visit the Account's Assets tab, right click and select to import assets. The Excel file you prepare should represent the data you collect for during the inventory process with the Asset data fields in mind. Then, when importing map the Excel columns to the Asset data fields (you can save this mapping for future use).

I dont see anywhere to save the mappings to a template. Where and when do you get the option to save the mappings?

Thanks,
Jim

Use the 'save' button, it works for all import types:
