Hi, Godady told me i have to update my SSL, in fact Firefox is telling me it no longer can open the link to my CRM website. I got my cert file sent, but cant convert it to PEM. I followed the instructions but I cant change the file format to Personal before converting it.

Any ideas?

Converting certificates from one format and to the other is always tricky. We've compiled a list with some of the options to convert certificates but in general online forums / Google are your friend here.

Thank you for the update. Unfortunately we are not experts when it comes to converting SSL certificates between formats and therefore cannot help much. Maybe you should try further searching for forums that discuss such topics.

Just out of curiosity why does CommitCRM use a non-standard method of implementing an SSL certificate? I am have never seen another program require a process like this to get an SSL certificate applied. Especially considering the support of getting it up and running is kind of hands off.

Nope, it's pretty standard in regards that is uses one of the known certificate format. It does not have any unique method for it. For what it worth, going forward, Microsoft IIS will be the option to use the Web interface with SSL. More on this will be published separately. Thanks!

Thank you, that will definitely be appreciated. I cringe every time I need to replace my SSL :-)

I like the hint that you might be going to IIS. But those SSL certs are pretty standard.

Yep! The option to use IIS as the back-end for RangerMSP Web Interface will be introduced in our coming release.

When is that release scheduled, because I haven't been able to use my CRM for months.

What is the workaround (besides not using encryption)?

The version itself is in Alpha already but the Web portion will enter Beta in the near future and this will come with IIS. That's probably the best solution and there aren't any other good workaround.

Alpha is already used by customers and the Beta should start in May.

If anyone wants a workaround to this SSL Problem, I just fixed it.

It was actually REALLY simple.

I installed STunnel from stunnel.org put my Cert in the dir, changed the config and I was up and running again.
