why can't we simply link a ticket from an asset (we can create a new ticket from he asset, but not link one)? this function needs to be added.

Not sure what "linking" means here. If a Ticket is pointing to an Asset, by selecting the Asset field of the Ticket, then the Ticket will be listed under the Tickets tab of that Asset.

Most folks would say "linking" instead of "pointing".

My question is why can we only point a ticket to an asset... we should be able to right click in the asset >> ticket tab and select "link ticket" (or as you might say, "point ticket"). New ticket is an option there, we need to be able to link to an already existing ticket from there as well.
