We have a client in commit "A BETTER PLACE LEARNING CENTER"

If we do a keyword search for A BETTER, they don't show up. If we search for better they show up.

Why is this?

It depends on the type of search you perform.

The default Keyword search does not include single char words like A
However, if you'll select to search by the Company Name instead (from the drop down) it should work.

Hope this helps.

It does work that way, thanks.

How come the keyword search doesn't pick up on the "better". It sees the a and ignores the rest?

Because when you search for "A" too, it expect to search for it too. However, had you just used the keyword search and searched for 'Better" (only) it would have found it.

If you use keyword search and only search for "Better" it will pop. The fact that you used this type of querying and included non-indexed words such as "a" results in no results :)
