I'm having trouble getting the DB field "Ticket description" to print in the report "Ticket Details".

It seems to be only that field in only that particular report (that I've encountered so far.) I've done all of the normal checking- FE: making sure the field is visible, set to word wrap, etc, with no luck.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Hi Deb,

Thanks for posting this.
The ticket description field wouldn't be able to display with a standard (DBtext) component; that component should be removed from the layout, and replaced with a DBmemo component, available from the toolbar above.

The DBmemo field will have the requirements for displaying a sizable field like the ticket description.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards,
Neta

Thanks, Neta. I didn't think of that and I feel a bit stupid now. :)

I tested this quickly, and it is now working for me. Thank you for your prompt assistance!

I had this issue today as well. In version 17, it seems obvious that to add a field, you would drag it from the data tree. But that creates a DBText field. To create the more flexible DBMemo field:

1. Click on the small DBMemo icon in the top toolbar.
2. Left-click and drag in the report to place an empty field.
3. Back in the top toolbar, select the database field you want to use.
