    Automated Emails open/close ticket

    Hi,

The automated email on open/close ticket is a great feature. But i have a qestion. Most of my customer dont have access to email until they get their pc back.

Can you not add to CommitCRM the ability to run a "ONLINE" task?

Example when a ticket is closed it emails the customer and also runs a ONLINE task (send a SMS to the customer to say their job is complete)?

This would be a great feature to have. Using Clickatel to notify customers of job complete.

      pops1000uk,

This is an interesting idea. Email alert notifications are sent from the RangerMSP Alerts Server service (RangerMSPServer). Online Services are were originally designed do open a Browser and perform an action. As a service runs behind the scenes it cannot open a brower... however it may be able to initiate an http depending on the Web site the http refers to. I will log it so we'll evaluate it. Thanks.

yes, this would be great! When closing my tickets the system opens the HTTP page to send my text message! Would save us alot of time.
        Another question is,
It would be great to also see the online activitys show up in the HISTORY for example when i send a TXT i would like a note of when it was sent.

It's on our list but no progress has been made in this direction yet.

              Thanks,
