messaging with web interface

We have started using the messaging function in the desktop version and like it very much. A lot of our technicians use the web interface in the field. Is there a way to generate a message from the desktop version and have it show up in the web interface?

Any message that you sent using the desktop client is immediately accessible (readable) in the Web interface under the messages window. So, you can send internal message to techs and have them see it.

using the desktop version when a message is generated it generates a pop up to the recipient, like a instant messaging so it's an immediate notification, which is very handy. I can't seem to get the web interface to generate the same instant messaging pop up

Yes, this is correct, no pop-ups for new messages. Thanks for your feedback here, we'll definitely consider it.

please do submit this.....this is a very hand tool and more and more people are using the web interface out in the field. It would be an excellent tool to be able to use in both interfaces.
