How to keep track of prepaid hours?

Is there a way for us to keep track of prepaid hours for a client. For example if a client pays us $1000 for a month of services, we want to deduct hours from that amount as we do the work.

Yes, for this you can use a Block of Money Contract (or possibly a Block of Time one). You configure the Block amount, the start/end dates and you're done! All Charges against this Contract become Not Billable automatically, while the Block is being reduced with each Charge being added.
