When will I be able to put in a labor charge from 10pm - 12:30am? (And have it calculate the time)

Thank you for asking.

True, a Charge can be entered for a specific day and cannot span over two dates.

The reason for this it that overall it adds simplicity. Dealing with spanning charges introduce big challenges and might make the system more complex - for example - what if a charge span between the 31th of one month to the 1st of the following - and - you bill customers by the month... There are many other examples (monthly reports, monthly block-of-time contracts, etc.).

So because this is not very common, or at least it is much less than same-day charges are, we decided to keep things simple and you are indeed required to add two separate charges.
