I see that I can merge two tickets together, but can I merge two companies? one bought the other, and now I would like my history and my assets to all merge (or copy) into one. Is this possible?
Sure. Use the Account Merge option.
It can be activated from Tools > Data Tools > Account Merge...
We recommend that you backup your system prior to this as it involves a massive database update.
