    2020 bug?

so the auto-renew of contracts didn't work and when I try to batch renew contracts it doesn't show any that expired. It didn't auto-complete the contract or renew them. Is this a bug that gets it to fail with the new year?

    Re: 2020 bug?

    Thank you for posting this.

Please note that Contracts are auto-renewed when there are future periods defined (or left) for them.

Each Future-Period is then used or consumed when the contract is renewed and therefore a Contract renews as long as it has such future-period "tokens", then it stops.

In order to find the Contract that expired in December 2019, you can apply the following filter:

While looking at the Contract details, please check whether there are any future periods defined:

In case no future periods exists for the Contract, it will not be automatically renewed.

As you mentioned correctly - Contracts that are set to auto-renew are not listed when using the Batch Copy - in order to avoid creating duplicate Contracts.

You should click the 'Manage' link and add as many periods as you need - based on the customer agreement.

    Hope this helps.

      Re: 2020 bug?

I too fell into this issue. Is there a way that we can batch add future periods to contracts so we don't have to do them one by one?

Also since we missed the automatic Auto complete & renew function and you said that they are not listed in batch copy to avoid creating duplicates how do we kick off another Auto complete and renew?

      Thanks

        Re: 2020 bug?

Yes, when using the 'Add Periods' link (see in the screenshot above) you can add them in a batch. This is controlled per-contract, as each contract has its own terms, expiration date, etc.

Despite them not listed by default under batch renewal (to prevent duplicates) you can renew each manually or add the future periods so they'll auto renew.

        Hope this helps.
