I am having trouble opening the CommitCRM client from my workstations and directly from the server. I have tried restarting the server and going directly to the installation folder to run the .exe....

I know it might be a bit of a hassle depending on how much of the server you have already setup, but why don't you give the server a new name and IP and see if that resolves the issue ?
