We are excited to let you know that RangerMSP 5.0 is now officially released and ready for download.
This major version release is all about enhanced automation and easier workflow.
RangerMSP 5.0 includes many new tools and options to let you run your business better. It is a direct result of the great feedback and ideas we’ve received from our community. We would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone for their great feedback and support!
Below are highlights of new features in RangerMSP 5.0.
New Features in RangerMSP Client:
Activity Templates: Save time by creating “Activity Templates”—which are groups of predefined activities (Tasks, Tickets, Appointments)—and then applying them to Accounts, Contracts, Assets, or service Tickets of projects that your company performs on a regular basis. Contract-Price Charges: Easily bill your customers for one-time and recurring contracts using Contract-Price Charges, which are charges that represent an amount listed in a contract. This feature is good for recurring services, hosting, MSP services, etc. You can find more details in the downloads page, or click here to learn more about this feature.
New Online Services: Integrate better with external solutions and Internet Web sites using the Online Services features which have now become available. Easily define Online Services that pass data from accounts, tickets, assets, items, opportunities, contracts and knowledge base articles. You can find more details in the attached detailed "What's New" document.
Print to PDF: Print reports to PDF directly from the RangerMSP application (English fonts only).
Send Reports by E-mail: E-mail reports in PDF format directly from the client application
RangerMSP Home Screen: A new “Home screen” has been added, providing easy access to common actions in the application and links to useful Help resources.
Version 5.0 Enhancements to the Client Application:
Outlook Sync: The Auto-Sync option, which allows automatic synchronizing with Outlook every predefined period of time, now supports synchronizing other users’ data as well as your own data.
Outlook Sync now saves the auto-sync settings between sessions.
Unbilled Appointments and Tasks can be highlighted in the Calendar and Dispatcher windows.
View charges created from specific Appointments or Tasks by simply clicking on a button.
Completed Appointments now have a “done” indication in the graphic calendar view.
Sort Tasks and Appointments in the Calendar list view.
A new auto-formatting option for Appointment descriptions (optimized for Outlook) is now available.
Zip code, City and State are now available within the new appointment description formatting
Secondary Contact details are now available within the Appointment description
System alerts users if no charges have been logged to a Ticket they try to close.
System alerts users if there are still pending Tasks or Appointments in a Ticket they try to close.
You can now create a charge directly from the Assets window or from a Document window.
Assign default appointment colors to employees.
QuickBooks Link allows for adding non-billable charges to the invoice (without affecting the invoice total).
QuickBooks Link allows for adding blank lines to invoices, making them more readable.
New Features and Enhancements in RangerMSP Web Interface
Print a selection of reports to PDF directly from the Web Interface (such as technician service forms you use in the client application or custom reports).
Uploads Documents over the Web
Customers may now download documents which are linked to their account and are marked as "public".
Set tasks and appointments as 'Done' via the Web Interface
Use Online Services via the Web Interface, including for accounts, tickets, assets, items, opportunities, contracts and knowledge base articles.
