You can set the timer to be automatically activated for certain operations. For example, when you create a new document in RangerMSP, you can have an automatic timer activated, and when you are done with the document, you can easily create a charge for the time spent on this document.

To activate this feature, go to Tools > Options > Timer > Automatically activate timer when:
* Creating a new Document
* Dialing Phone
* Opening History Note
