Hi! We have a technician that has moved over to Japan, and so he works effectively on a second shift (which is awesome for coverage) but CommitCRM doesn't seem to register that when it comes to Dispatch.
Anytime we sync his appointments, between Outlook and CommitCRM it doesn't translate properly - either it moves his appointments to the CST time equivalent (moves his 9am appointment to 11pm, he doesn't get the alert in time & he doesn't see it) or it changes them to the set time during the CST workday and it doesn't alarm anyway (keeps it at 9 am appointment block, but any alerts won't go off until 11 pm anyway).
That and all of his entries end up looking like a future-vision - I get in at 8 am and read his history notes which should be 12/10/18 11 pm, and come in looking like 12/11/18 3 pm.
We would just want it to register for him in his timezone but translate over to us in ours.

Is there a way to fix this in CommitCRM? Any recommendations for Exchange?
Please advise.

Thank you for posting this.

The current local computer time will be used by RangerMSP. So record time is based on the user PC regardless of time zone calculations. Dates aren't translated to another time zone.

With a shared calendar and Outlook sync it may be tricky, as it may depend on the time zone set in Outlook calendar on the machine that syncs with RangerMSP and also on the time zone of the user calendar on their computer or mobile device.
As RangerMSP holds an 'absolute' time for the appointment record - it might get updated if the appointment time zone got modified as a result of synchronization between Outlook and user's mobile device.
Appointments records in Outlook can be created with specific time zone that is probably set from the default settings in Outlook or Exchange.

We suggest that you try adding, editing and syncing appointments for this user only in a single time zone and have the other location only manage appointments in Outlook directly. So, you can manage this user calendar in RangerMSP in the US and also sync it for this user from the US. The user in Japan will only use Outlook to see/manage his calendar.

Hope this helps.
