View Full Version : Choose default contract

Good morning,

I realized you can choose the default contract for an account, but would like to suggest a couple improvements to this:

1. "NEVER use this contract for tickets". This would prevent contracts that are setup for billing purposes only from being used with tickets.

2. "Always use this contract series." This is there, but when a contract is copied, it doesn't set the new default contract to the updated, copied contract. So if I want to set the default to my MSP contract, it is going to keep trying to use that SPECIFIC month's contract rather than following the series as it is copied to a new date range.

Thanks!

LP

Fantastic ideas, would definitely help the contract choosing process with tickets.

I just want to bring this back up on the radar. Both of these suggestions are critical to streamlining our billing operations. I believe this is something the entire community would benefit from!

The "use this series" would save us much hassle.

Hello, my service manager just asked if this will ever become a reality. The way "default contracts" are chosen is causing mass confusion and chaos. Can you advise if this is a planned feature or not?

Yes, we do plan to introduce some related changes latest this year.

The option to set a Contract series as the default Contract for the Account was added in version 19.

Hope this helps.
