I'm unable to sync with outlook.com. Is this actually possible?

Thank you for posting this. Sure, you can sync appointment//tasks/contacts between RangerMSP and Outlook that is connected to a hosted service, such as 365. You/other users should have full access to Outlook calendar/tasks folders in 365, RangerMSP will then connect there through Outlook. For what it worth, this configuration is very common.
