Greetings Fellow CommitCRM Users,

With the release of version 11.0 we are now able to send open quotes to our customer base for follow up after the initial contact. We had been asking for this functionality and now it is available in this release.

Why is this important to us?

In the last 30 days this feature has been responsible for capturing several stalled quotes that we would have otherwise lost.

This has netted us several thousand dollars of incremental gross profit.

In terms of setup we have the open quotes going out to each customer every 2 weeks.

If you are looking to capture additional revenue in your business and like us have a fair amount of outstanding quotes I would highly recommend setting up this feature within your Commit installation.

Hi rfbalmer,

Do you simply send out open quote reports every two weeks or do you have something that notes when the initial quote was sent and then resends the open quote two weeks after the initial send?

I create the quote in the system and email it to the customer. With the quote in the open status the system will automatically resend it to the customer every 14 days until the status of the quote change to lost, won, or converted.
