Bulk changing of account status

Are we able to change the Status of an account via a bulk conversion?

We need all Accounts with a 'Status Ext.' of 'Complete' or 'Lost Job' to have a 'Status' of 'Inactive'.

Answer

Yes, sure, there is an option to update status for multiple Accounts at once.

Before anything - take a backup!

The first step is to filter the Accounts list to only show Accounts you want to update.

Then you can use the 'Batch Update' feature (from the menu select: Accounts > Tools > Batch Update) to set ALL listed Accounts as inactive.

Same trick can be used to batch update other Account fields.
