Email Template - address that the email is going to

I need to add a data field into a template that ONLY has the email address that the email is being sent to. I'm guessing this isn't possible, but just looking for confirmation.

Indeed. You can embed email address/es into email templates and it is then fetched from the Account/Contact email1/email2 addresses, however, it isn't related to the email address you decide to email to.
