I was hoping to allow my team to notify both the technician and customer when a job is booked inCommitCRM.

I have found the following product which has some options with interfacing into existing programs. http://www.message-media.com.au/sms-gateway.html

Can anyone advise what would be the easiest way to do this ??

In our coming release we will be introducing the new Email Alerts module. This module will allow you to define Email Alerts which will be sent as a response to various events in the system, such as new Tickets, new Appointments, and more. This will allow you to automatically notify technicians on any new jobs they have.

Also note, that when using Email Connector module, which will also be introduced in this version, you can automatically create Tickets in the system out of customers emails. When doing this, you can set the system to send automatic email response, notifying your customers on the new Ticket which was created out of their email.
