Damyanti,

We can help you with this and increment the service requests start number for you to 1500.

If this is what you need, please send us the following files by email (exit from RangerMSP in all your PCs before sending them to us and please do not use the system until we send the files back to you, perhaps it's best if you send them to us at the end of the day and we will return you the files as soon as possible):

<server>\RangerMSP\Db\Sysids.adt
<server>\RangerMSP\Db\Sysids.adi

What will be the effect on you sending back to us the file on our current ticket level? Will we be able to use the old ticket sequence on a separate PC in order to catch up with the back logs on data entry?

There will be no effect on previous service Tickets you have. They will retain their current numbers without any changes. It will only affect new Tickets which will receive their numbers starting at 1500...

Just remember that that after sending us the file do not use the system until we send them back to you.

With regards to retaining old ticket numbers would i be able to carry on updating with old data from the old ticket sequence?

Yes, you will be able to carry on updating old Tickets without a problem. Basically, the only change is that new Tickets you will create, will start with the new sequence.
