hi everyone

booking customers can be a pain with back and forth emails and phone calls.

would be good if there was a CommitCRM option for this considering there is already integration with outlook calendars

there are several online systems out there but id rather not implement yet another system (most seem to be for hotels)

trying to keep it all in CommitCRM is a better option

customers could login in, see the live calendar(s), request a time for their remote or onsite appointment, CommitCRM emails us etc

if changes are made to the calendar, an email automatically goes out to the customer etc

OR

is there anything out there that people are using successfully with an IT business?

thanks

Steve

Thank you for posting this.

Customers using the Web interface can see scheduled appointments related to their tickets, this is displayed under the Ticket details page, the Pending area/tab. However, there is no graphical calendar view for customers and this might have helped, though you are looking for a way for communication with the customer. Please note that customers can now easily reply to Tickets and add their notes so it should be easy for them to add 'It would be best for me on Monday at 10:30 AM' and you can reply back with a note that you can only arrive at 12:00 PM and have scheduled the appointment. This type of a communication thread has recently enhanced so it's much easier for the customer to use it.

In any case, we do see the value in what you described and have taken some notes. Thanks.

Wouldn't it be nice if the customers could see all your techs with their free/busy time?

-OR-

Create a booking calendar that allowed slots for different time blocks like 2 or 3 hours each. Then customers can pop themselves in a few blocks during days. They wouldnt necessarily see the techs free/busy time, but they would see if you have openings during the week they could take.

Would only work with current customers though, otherwise you would run into issues.

How about a simple webform for our websites. Customer fills in then a new ticket or account opens? Is this possible?

Dont we already have this open with the customer web interface?

I think what is missing is the ability for them to see the current schedule.

pops100uk,

New Tickets and Accounts can be created from a Website form when you build the Web form to use RangerMSP's Email Connector API capabilities.

Please refer to the following articles:

Automatically Creating New Accounts for Web Site Visitors

Hope this helps.
