In "Asset" What is the use of "Date 1" and "Number 1"?

These are predefined fields for you to store anything you like. Consider them as custom-fields that were already added for you. You can change their name and label to reflect the information they'll hold simply by right click the field label, selecting the 'Field Settings' option and in the Window that opens modify the field name and label.
