View Full Version : Outlook Sync issue

Short story ... Outlook client (no exchange), Google Calendar Sync to Gmail account, CommitCRM set to sync Tasks, Appointments, Accounts.

Outlook profile was corrupt so rebuilt Outlook profile, reset-up (as though new) CommitCRM sync as above ... completed sync ... went thru many Tasks, Appointments, Accounts ... all is perfect and working as expected HOWEVER, when a manual or auto sync runs its seems to go thru ALL Tasks, Appointments, Accounts (the result is correct) but as it goes thru many thousands it takes a wee while whereas BEFORE it was very quick with the sync and seemed to be only checking for the changes.

What can be done to remedy this issue? Should a FULL backup be taken and then do a Sync Rebuild or Slow Sync to try and 'mark' those that have been sync'd and therefore don't need any review.

Thanks for asking. It sounds like all is working fine. The reason why it takes longer than usual is probably because all records now have a recent internal update-date and therefore they are fetched and reviewed. Over a few days it should be back to normal as today's mass updates will become "old news" for the sync and it'll not fetch them and won't try to sync again unless they've been updated.

Thank you, Dina ... that logic makes good sense. I'll keep an eye on things over the next day or two.
