Possible to up a document by API

By API, is it possible to upload/place a document under a certain customer, or asset?

Using the API you can add Documents records into the system and have them filed under the Account/Ticket/Asset/etc. you select. The file itself, being referred to by the Doc record, should exist in the folder/path being set.
