not a super high priority but is there any chance we can get the ability to move tickets from one account to another? We have emergency processes that send alerts about many differnet client issues but the alert comes from the monitoring services domain (e.g. the alerts come from itsupport247.net, etc.). We have set up a special account with various contacts listing each alert system domain so that all these alerts end up in a single bucket but then we need to manually recreate the ticket specific to the user to process billing. If we can just move the ticket then everything becomes much easier.

Another reason for this is that we have some contacts that manage different client sites and when they open a ticket from one location but it's related to another, again we have to manually recreate the ticket.

thanks --

and if I could ping this one one more time. We have a generic account where a number of systems email into (one being our emergency telephone answering service) for our client base... it would be really awesome if we could quickly move tickets between accounts instead of having to manually re-create them every time.

thanks!

+1 on this. We also have alerts going to a generic account. Currently we have to copy the ticket and then close the original one

+1. We also use a generic account for alerts as well as voicemail. These have to be manually copied, then deleted. It would be a huge time saver if they could just be reassigned to the correct account.

Is there anyway to move tickets? We had a client that opened a new location and we added the new location as a contact to simplify things. Now they want the new location as a separate account. We now have 12 tickets we need to move to their new account.

We tried to copy them all to the new account, but none of the charges went with the tickets.

No. Each Account has its own billing arrangement, contracts, blocks, rates, etc. and therefore Tickets cannot be moved with all their related records, such as Charges.

You will need to copy the Tickets (as you did) and then update the Ticket number of the old Tickets to the Ticket number of the new one. The Charge.Account will be updated as well as the Contract.

Is there an easy way to import the charges?

Or the history notes, emails, etc?

Only with the API. It should be very easy. Yet, some programming background is required.

Built in imports include Accounts, Contacts, Documents, Items, Assets, etc. but not Charges or History Notes as these type of records must be linked to other entities in RangerMSP - Accounts, Contracts, Tickets and Employees.
