bought a couple extra licenses thinking that we would add some contractors as employees so that they could get alerts, collaborate on issues and update tickets that they are working on. However, I'm finding that locking down their accounts isn't as granular as it needs to be.

Is there a way to lock down an employee account so that they can ONLY see/edit tickets that they have been assigned to (as manager)? We don't want them accessing our entire client database, charges, notes, opportunities, assets, etc., etc.

thanks!

been messing around with the interfaces and rights... looks like we can lock down accessible accounts through the web interface -- how do we do this in the full client?

web interface for clients: we really, really, REALLY need a way to lock down tickets to view only!!! at the moment, the web interface allows the client to modify the description (and a couple of other fields) which is the original record of the open ticket... this should not be editable... (!)

Limiting subcontractors to specific Accounts is a Web interface feature. You can learn all about managing subcontractors here.

Client Ticket editing - we can prepare and send you a customized Tickets view so customers will not be able to add/edit Tickets using the Customer Web Portal. Please cntact us by email and we will reply with the updated templates.
Thanks,
