What happens with the pending activities, when closing a ticket.
Are they discarded or keept ?

They are kept. However, when a user 'Complete' a Ticket the system can be configured to identify that there are still open activities and alerts the user about it (or blocks the user - all depending to your preferences under the Tools > Options > Tickets (Admin) tab.).

One thing I was just looking at yesterday was that there isn't a way to see appointments related to a ticket after they have been marked as "done"... For example, I marked an appointment as "done" accidentally hit "cancel" on the ticket note... and then had no way of seeing that appointment again from the ticket view... did I miss something?

When you 'Done' an Appointment a Note is added, if you hit Cancel they the note will note be added and the Appointment will be accessible on the Calendar/Dispatcher window. You can edit its details, from the Calendar, and un-select the Done check-box. This will bring it back to the Ticket Pending tab.
