Can I update a data field for multiple Accounts at once?

Yes. You can use the Batch Update feature to update a group of Accounts at once.

Batch Update updates all the Account records displayed in the Accounts window at that time. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to do the following before performing a batch update:

1. Back up your data.
2. Filter the displayed Accounts to display only the records you want to update.

To run Batch Update select Accounts menu > Tools > Batch Update... in the Accounts window.

Only fields that have been defined to be included in a Batch Update can be selected for inclusion in a specific Batch Update.

You can determine which data fields will be available for the batch update by setting the batch update property in the field settings window. An Administrator can open the field settings window by double-clicking on the field label, navigating to the Advanced tab, and checking/unchecking the option 'Enable Batch Update'.
