Hi,

Is there a way to securely store user names and passwords inCommitCRM? That would mean that they are encrypted in the database and only made visible on the screen or web interface after additional steps (e.g. providing a decryption password that is separate from the user's logon). Ideally decryption would be logged in an audit trail.

Hi Mark,

There is no build-in password-decrypted fields option in RangerMSP at the moment. That's is something we have heard before, and may add such capabilities in the future.

At the moment, perhaps what you can do is keep this information in an external file, save it in a location which is available only to you (using Windows permissions to the file path), and link it as a document to the relevant account/ticket/asset, etc. This way the document contents will be available only to users who actually have access to the file in its physical location.

I hope this helps.
