I want to change status of certain accounts to inactive. How do I do that?

Hi axicom,

Basically, each Account has a Status field where you can set it to Inactive (you can find it in the Account's General tab). Note that this is an open field, which allows you to set any values you wish, so you can also add other statuses.

In addition, when an Account become inactive, you may consider changing their Type (e.g. to Inactive Customer or something like that), so you will be able to easily filter them out when displaying the Account list. You can filter this list by Type using the quick-filter in the Accounts window toolbar, and display only real customers. This is a very helpful filter. Note that you can also save this display (use the Windows menu to save your current display), so next time you login the list will show the same filters.

Thank you! I was curious mostly based on using the status for labels but I realized that I had to have a status assigned to all accounts to run the labels which I hadn't done but am now in process of doing.
