View Full Version : Moving fields within the ticket window.

Hello,

Is there a way to move fields from one tab to another? Specifically, I would like to see Cause/Source/Category from the 'Details' tab on the 'General' tab. I found a help article on creating your own tabs, but it dosent seem to apply to the most current version ofCommitCRM.

Hi Austin,

Customizing and adding fields is possible only in user-defined tabs. What you can do is add your own tab, and then add all the fields to this tab - you can add also existing fields, such as the Cause/Source/Category to this tab, so you will be able to group all field in a single tab.

Note that when adding fields to the tab, you should select the Add an existing field to Tab option.

Adding new tabs is available in all of RangerMSP version. Make sure you go to the Tools menu under the Tickets menu (do not use the main Tools menu).

From this menu, choose the Tab Management option, and once you have the tab in place, you can right-click tab area to add new fields to it.

I hope this makes more sense now.
